Scrapbooking : journaling and lettering |
|
Ways to improve the journaling in your Scrapbook pages and add personality to your Layout with different and unique lettering...
 | Journaling is so important in Scrapbooking. It tells our life story to generations to come. Use your creativity to display your journaling in a fun way. Use Embellishments to replace letters or words. Write it out in pencil first. Use your ruler to make "lined" paper on your layout. Write out your text lightly in pencil.
What to journal? Always answer the following questions when looking at a photo: WHY - did I take this photo? WHERE - did I take this photo? WHEN - did I take this photo? WHO - is in the photos? WHAT - is happening in the photo? You can also include information about : What were the day's activities? Did someone say something funny or meaningful? How was the weather? What were my feelings about the day? |
Experiment lettering with different heights, widths and colors on the same page. Here’s an idea to get started : find some lettering books that offer different letter styles and copy them on transparency. Use a marker to ink the lettering on your page. Be sure to erase any pencil lines. |
